Global company makes equipment donation to Trine University
Trine University is one step closer to a state-of-the-art training laboratory for the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus program at its Trine University North campus. Emerson Process Management, based in St. Louis, Mo., recently donated a DeltaV™ control system to the University. The device is a fully digital automation system that will be utilized in the control processes for the Fieldbus Program. “We are excited that the Emerson Corporation is supporting Trine University and the Fieldbus Program with this state-of-the-art equipment,” said North Campus Director Dave Wagner. “This high level technology allows us to prepare our students to become leaders in the process control industries.” Trine University’s regional Fieldbus Training Center was started in February 2005 in response to the rapid adoption of the technology throughout major global industrial markets. Trine University is one of six training centers throughout the world, which includes locations in Beijing, China; Tokyo, Japan; Brielle, Netherlands; Baytown, Texas, USA; and Calgary, Alberta, Canada Emerson Process Management is a leader in bringing technology and engineering together to provide solutions to customers through its network power, process management, industrial automation, climate technologies, and appliance and tool businesses.
